Convocation 2024 will be held in the University Campus on 4th October, 2024. It is an auspicious and solemn ceremony, in which decorum must be maintained at all times. Please read and follow all the instructions given in the convocation protocol.
The Theme of the Convocation is:
Celebrating Tradition and Progress with Sustainable Innovations
The Convocation will be organized in two parts:
3.1. The Convocation Awards Ceremony will be conducted from 10:00 am till 1:30 pm in a lawn Marquee (Main Venue) in the presence of Honorable Chief Guest, Honorable Chancellor, Honorable Vice Chancellor and Guests of Honor to confer gold medals and degrees to graduating Ph.D. scholars
3.2. Post lunch, from 3:00 p.m. onward, each Department will confer degrees to UG and PG graduands in designated venues. The venues include the Main Venue, Admin block auditorium, A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Halls, Mini Auditoriums, and the APJ Halls 1 to 11 in APJ Complex.
A
mandatory rehearsal will be arranged in the campus one day before the main Convocation. All PhD graduands and award winners must arrive for the rehearsal at 2:00 pm.
Please note that on the day of the convocation:
5.1. No parent/representative will be allowed to receive the degree or award on behalf of any graduand.
5.2 No student will be allowed to take their degree or award directly, either from the academic section or from their Departments.
After the convocation day, graduands who have not been able to attend the convocation can collect it from the Academic section.
All graduands will have to register online to receive their awards / degrees. They must also register physically on the day of the convocation at the registration counters till 10:00 a.m. Students who do not register online or do not report on time on Convocation day will not be conferred degrees.
